Art advice? and Mary Sues

At some point in the last month or so I was reading something where an artist was explaining how they do their initial sketching in blue pencil, then their clean lines in normal pencil, scan it and remove the blue lines in photoshop. I thought that was a great idea because I'm never as happy with my inked lines as with my pencil lines, but apparently I didn't bookmark the post. Does anyone know what post I'm talking about or know how to use this method? 'Cause now I've got a pretty but rather blue drawing of Drag!Harry sitting on my computer and no idea how to clean it up. It may or may not have been part of a tutorial, but I'm pretty sure it was on lj.

Anyway, art wibbling aside, I want to talk about ( Mary Sues and why I don't mind some supposed Sues )
